Examined by Cambridge Assessment International Education (CAIE), it demands the same depth of analytical thinking as its UK counterpart — but your teenager faces challenges that home-based students don’t.
I offer session times to suit families in Asia and other international locations. Whether you’re in Singapore (GMT+8), Hong Kong, Shanghai, or Dubai (GMT+4), we can find a regular slot that works around school hours and homework schedules.
For students whose first language isn’t English, the demands of IGCSE English Literature and Language can feel particularly high. I work with EAL learners to build the specific academic vocabulary, essay structure, and close-reading confidence the Cambridge examiners are looking for — without losing their voice in the process.
Many of my international students are highly motivated, academically ambitious, and sitting the IGCSE in schools that follow the Cambridge International syllabus while navigating teaching styles, cultural contexts, and — for some — English as an Additional Language. I adapt my teaching to meet all of these.
